What is Light Up Taiwan with Kindness?
Light Up Taiwan with Kindness (#善念點亮台灣) is a video and painting contest organized by Gan Jing World. The 4th edition, themed "Pass on kindness, change the world", is open to individuals and teams worldwide. Total prizes exceed US$10,000, submissions close on March 31, 2027, and outstanding works may be showcased in Times Square, New York.

Categories and prizes
- Group A – Video: videos of at least 30 seconds, horizontal or vertical, any language (non-Chinese entries need Chinese subtitles). Gold US$2,000, Silver US$1,000, ten Bronze awards of US$500 each, plus Merit awards.
- Group B – Painting: ages 6–8, 9–11, 12–14 and 15–18. One first prize of US$500 per age group, plus Merit awards. Fully AI-generated images are not eligible.
- Entrants under 18 need consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- Publish your work on Gan Jing World with the hashtag #善念點亮台灣.
Timeline
- July 24, 2026: submissions open; publish your work and complete registration
- March 31, 2027: submission deadline
- April 30, 2027: winners announced (planned)
